Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information we collect from creators who run studios on the platform and from students who learn from them, how it is used, and the choices each of you has.

01Who this policy covers

Creators are teachers, trainers and institutes who open a studio to publish courses. Students are the learners who enrol in a creator's courses.

For student information, the creator decides what to collect and why, and we process it on the creator's behalf to run their studio. For creator account information, we decide how it is used, as described here.

02Information we collect

  • Account details: name, email, studio name and the languages and subjects you teach.
  • Course content: videos, documents, quizzes, captions and other material creators upload.
  • Student details: name, email, enrolments, progress, quiz results, attendance and community posts.
  • Payment records: order amounts, coupons and invoice details. Card and UPI details are handled by the payment gateway and are not stored by us.
  • Usage data: pages viewed, video watch time, device type and approximate location, used to run and improve the service.

03How information is used

  • To host courses, stream lessons, run live classes and deliver certificates.
  • To process payments, generate GST invoices and send payouts through the creator's gateway.
  • To show creators analytics about their own courses and students.
  • To send account, security and course emails such as login details, class reminders and receipts.
  • To prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorised access.

04AI Lesson Assistant

When a creator uses the AI Lesson Assistant, their uploaded material is processed to produce drafts for that creator only. Drafts are not published until the creator approves them.

Creator material is not sold, not shared with other creators and not used to build courses for anyone else. Student personal data is not used to generate lesson drafts.

05Students and minors

Many learners on the platform are under 18. Student details are visible only to the creator they enrolled with and the creator's authorised instructors.

Student data is never sold and is never used for advertising or ad targeting. Community spaces are private to enrolled students and are not indexed by search engines.

Creators who teach minors are responsible for obtaining any consent from a parent or guardian that applicable law requires.

06Sharing

We share information only with service providers that help run the platform, such as video hosting, email delivery and payment gateways, under contracts that limit their use of it, or when required by law.

We do not sell personal information to anyone.

07Retention and deletion

Creator accounts and content are kept while the studio is active. A creator can export their student list and files at any time and can ask for the studio to be deleted.

Students can ask the creator, or ask us through the Contact us page, to access, correct or delete their information. Invoices may be kept for the period tax law requires.

08Security

Data is encrypted in transit, videos are streamed with encryption and access controls, and staff access to personal data is limited to what is needed to support the service.

09Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and secure forms, and analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. Studios do not show third-party advertising.

10Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, creators will be told by email and in their studio dashboard before the changes take effect.
